Your SE lives in two pools. The Earned pool comes from gameplay — missions, achievements, and onboarding rewards. The Deposited pool comes from deposits. When you spend SE in-game, your Earned balance is always used first, which preserves your deposited funds until you choose to use them.
SE pays for instant-finishing building upgrades and ship training, buying permanent builder slots, market commissions, and store items (shields, stamina refills, resource packs). Free-to-play commanders earn SE through play and compete on the same ladder as everyone else.
